Eczema on Scalp
One of the common forms of eczema in all age groups is the eczema on scalp. It is very common in men, women, children and adults. If you are having mild eczema then it is suggested to use a medicated shampoo. You have to continue this process or else the eczema will return back frequently. You must use the medicated shampoo twice a week. While you are buying the medicated shampoo to treat the scalp eczema you must check whether the shampoo has coal tar, salicylic acid, zinc pyrithione, selenium sulfide and ketoconazole. There are also some scalp ointments that contain steroids. You can use them after consulting your doctor. They contain natural oils like coconut oils. You must apply them at night and in the early morning wash it with the use of a medicated shampoo. While you are applying shampoo on your hair then never scratch your hairs but use your finger tips. Avoid using the hair gel and sprays. You can use the cortisone cream as they relieve the itching but apply them only after consulting your doctor as this have some negative sides like it will make your skin thin, you can gain weight, hypertension etc. You can apply olive oil on your scalp with the help of the finger tips and it will give a soothing relief. You can apply the mixture of turmeric and coconut oil. The turmeric will fight with the infection and will reduce the pain. These are the ways by which you can fight with your scalp eczema.
